San Antonio wine enthusiasts have a new destination to enjoy fine vintages at Copper Rose Wine & Market, which officially opens on Friday, January 3, in Beacon Hill at 1810 Blanco Road. Situated near Blanco Cafe and Urban Goods, the new wine bar marks its launch with a festive celebration featuring a DJ set by Um Novo Sol and smoked wagyu pit beef from Buddy’s Big Trouble. The festivities will continue on Saturday with complimentary wine tastings at 2 p.m.
Setting itself apart from most wine bars, Copper Rose embraces a family- and pet-friendly atmosphere. Children can stay entertained at an on-site playground, making it a suitable spot for family outings. Pets are also welcome, ensuring an inclusive experience for all guests. This welcoming approach aligns with the venue’s community-centric vibe.
Copper Rose doubles as a wine shop, offering both bottles and wine by the glass. Customers can open the bottles they purchase and enjoy them on the shop’s outdoor patio. In addition to its wine selection, the venue serves small bites and non-alcoholic beverages. Notably, guests are encouraged to bring their own food, complementing the simple in-house menu and allowing for a personalized dining experience.
The shop prides itself on offering “interesting and accessible wine from around the world,” with most bottles priced under $50. Operating hours are 4-10 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturdays, providing ample opportunities for patrons to gather, savor wine, and create memorable experiences in a laid-back yet vibrant setting.
