Overview:
Grape Thinking is trying to help facilitate positive change throughout the wine industry via a variety of online mediums and tools:
-
Create A Label
– We want you to create the next label for Grape Thinking Selections. Upload an image, create a drawing, and submit. The best ones will not only get some cool prizes, but will also be the inspiration for our next label, which can be found in stores around the country. Also, if you want to buy some wine with your label, you can head over Windsor Vineyards and they’ll print your label on their awesome wines and ship it to your doorstep!
-
GT Juicers
– Our community of global liaisons, MWs, sommeliers, and just cool people have been sent around the world to find the best juice. We want to make sure that what goes in the bottle is the best stuff. You can find out more on how to become a Juicer here
-
World Cup of Wine
- Allows you to submit, vote, and discuss your favorite wines. Each quarter we face the top wines off against each other with a live virtual tasting. This will also help us to decide from which country we will be sourcing our next wine.
-
Tastevine
An algorithmically organized wine database with over 80,000 wines that allows you to find whatever wine you’re looking for. You can also set up a TasteIDTM that will make recommendations to you based on your taste preferences. If you have a large group of people (50+), Tastevine will help sponsor a tasting party for you and your friends (email: tayloe [at] tastevine.com)
-
Marketing & Sales Services
- If you are a high potential brand that is looking to get more online traction and exposure to the Millennial market, complemented with innovative sales strategies balanced by both Direct and 3-Tier systems; we have the complete approach to help you build your brand. Our service offering includes: social media optimization, social bookmarking, SEO, SEM, email & blog management, event promotion, direct sales strategies, distribution strategies, and importation strategies.
-
Blog
– We discuss lifestyle, culture, wine reviews, industry news, and pretty much anything that shows the power of wine. We also write about our travels, business development, and business struggles in the process of creating a sales system that embraces direct and 3-tier. If you find something you would like for us to write about, feel free to submit it (this link is also on the front page)
Where did we come from?
The idea for Grape Thinking started during the Spring of 2006, and was based around finding a way to create wines specifically for our generation (we’re almost all under 30). Also, following a love for great wine, food, and travel, we also wanted to create a medium that we could all casually enjoy this social liquid without feeling pressured to be a “wino”.
Timeline/History:
October, 2006, Grape Thinking launched as a blog (first post) focused on bringing people together around wine. The idea for Tastevine was nurtured, the development team assembled, and a site launched in June, 2007. In September 2007, we launched World Cup of Wine in anticipation of creating our own brand, and in finding the best wines from each region of the world. In October 2007, in light of our First Anniversary, we launched a newly designed site.
